Story
Lara is searching for the legendary
'Iceheart' sword. Said to be forged of valyric steel, it is
so slender and sharp that it is almost invisible when viewed
in profile. It is rumoured that the owner of this sword will
be invincible in battle.
Deep within Castle Riverrun is where the
sword is guarded and the road to retrieving it is not easy.
Lara will have to be creative, fast, observant and
courageous if she wishes to retrieve this sword and escape
Castle Riverrun.
Notes
Lara has to find 5 pieces of knight's armour,
along with their corresponding Sword Keys, before she will
be able to collect the legendary Iceheart sword. You will
not be able to get the Iceheart without them and, therefore,
you will not be able to complete the game. The sword keys
are distributed through the Castle as follows:
Level 1 – Castle Riverrun – 1 sword key
Level 2 – Dungeon (Part I) – 1 sword key
Level 3 – Dungeon (Part II) – 2 sword keys
Level 4 – In the castle – 1 sword key
Don't worry if you don't have them all when
you reach the final area, as you will be able to go back and
retrieve any you may have missed.
Secrets: There are 4 golden roses to collect,
1 in each level.
Castle
Riverrun
Step into this
wondrous Castle and enjoy wandering through the
grounds. Admire the architecture and revel in
the gameplay. But don't get complacent for deep below the
castle lie the dungeons, where centuries of dark mysteries swirl
in a cauldron of fear and betrayal. You will have to explore
their darkest secrets if you are to retrieve the sword.
Masha has put
together a masterful series of levels here. From the Castle
grounds, through the dungeons, until you finally enter the
Castle itself, the gameplay is intriguing and completely
immersive. How do I know? I finished it in one sitting. I kept
looking at the clock, knowing it was way past my bedtime, but
couldn't put it down.
Some fabulous
moments too, like the surprise when I actually got to wander
around inside a mirror room! Great puzzles, immersive
environments, intriguing storyline, and rich architecture
dripping with atmosphere. One thing I
particularly enjoyed about the gameplay, was that although I
reached the final room with only 4 Sword keys, I could go back
and retrieve the one I was missing from the dungeons.
