Story

Whilst dabbling with some of the works of Lord Doomsday, Lara accidentally opens a vortex into which she can't escape. Riding the force, she finds herself in another dimension; the domain of Doomsday.

At first Lord Doomsday is curious and allows Lara to enter his castle, but then realises she will not give in easily. Whilst in the castle, Lara is determined to collect as many artifacts of Doomsday as she can. Meanwhile, Doomsday tries to trick and puzzle Lara into submission.

Note from the Author

The first level has no conventional puzzles as such (keys, gems etc) but the whole level is a puzzle. The second level is more of a battle with smaller puzzles.

These two levels chronicle the period of time leading up to the original Castle Doomsday.
The second level can be played independently of the first for those that get stuck in the
first level, or you can play from the first which automatically runs into the second level.
The choice is yours, however, to get the full effect, starting from level one is a must.

Castle Doomsday Chronicles

Prepare to be overawed as you venture into Lord Doomsday's Castle as this is an extraordinary journey into originality. It takes a brilliant mind to be able to adapt the inner workings of the Level Editor to produce levels like these! Not only is the gameplay fresh, fair and original but the atmosphere is almost overpowering at times.

Sometimes words just don't capture what it is you're trying to convey but I lost count of how many times I stopped to investigate how Dhama actually accomplished some of the stuff in this game. The first level is an absolute classic.

On the downside, the second level is rather dark in places and I ran out of flares, but don't let that put you off - save up all your flares from the first level, turn the lights out and you'll be fine. Immerse yourself in Castle Doomsday Chronicles because this is an experience you will relish. Don't believe me? Check out these screen shots:
