Story
People who don`t like ego-shooters shouldn`t play this
level. ;) Lara is looking for the head of a criminal gang,
which turns Hells Kitchen into a dangerous area.
A little hint:
The best thing to fight against the enemy at the end, is
doing it in the corridor, don`t try it in the open room.
There are two corners with unlimited sixshooter ammo which
Lara is able to take it if her ammo runs out.
Hell’s Kitchen
Hell's Kitchen is a set of two levels, the setting
and atmosphere reminiscent of TR:AOD’s gloomy suburbs and
TR3’s London sector. Gameplay is not difficult as such, but
sharp eyesight is crucial if you intend to make any speedy
headway. The puzzles are diverse and clever, and there are
some memorably inventive tasks, including shooting water
pipes in order to flood rooms, and using a boulder trap to
your advantage.
Both levels are brilliantly realistic in design, with a
convincingly shady atmosphere maintained throughout. Agnes
has a terrific eye for textures, and her choice of custom
music is perfect for the levels.
There are some traps and enemies to be wary of, though they
are used carefully and not over-done, and there’s never a
shortage of medi-packs and ammo. The boss villain is a nice
finishing touch, and a great way to bring this worthy
adventure to a close.
Overall, an entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable raid.
