15 secrets: 3 in Aqueduct, 4
in The Dam, 3 in Dungeon, 2 in Sanctuary and 3 in Folly.
Level 1 - The Aqueduct
It will all start with a flyby and when you can move again
go forwards and try to shoot the Guard. In the lake are
crocodiles. You probably have to lure another crocodile out
of the SE corner.
Long Swim.
First swim to the underwater opening in the SE corner, take
the left opening and halfway through another crocodile shows
up, so roll and swim back out, and hoist up at the bank and
shoot the animal. Back into the water and now keep swimming,
as this is a long swim. There is however one pick-up in this
passage. Turn left in the first junction for a small
medipack, roll and go left around the corner and follow
through all the way, passing a door, to the end and get some
air. Pull up and go the NW corner and take a running jump to
the first pillar.
Pillars and Skeletons.
Turn around and take a running jump SW to the next pillar,
then a running jump and grab to the one against the west
wall. Pull up, turn right and take running jumps north in
succession. Turn right and take a running jump east to the
short block, then another running jump east for the
Shotgun and ammo. Jump back to the previous short
block and take a standing jump with grab to the next pillar
north. Take a standing jump NE to the next pillar, and
finally a running jump with grab to the last pillar east.
Pull up and take a running jump east to the ladder on the
wall. Grab it and climb up a bit, shift to your right and
take a rolling back flip to grab the roof of the central
structure. Shimmy all the way to the left and pull up onto
the flat spot in the corner. Ready your shotgun, run forward
and around the corner to your right and blast the awakened
skeleton over the edge.
Get some Shotgun ammo on the corner and jump over to
the ledge south, there is another skeleton there and
walk out to the SW corner. Take a standing jump and grab the
crack in the south wall. Shimmy to the right and drop down
onto the ledge in the corner. Turn around and walk out to
the NE corner. Turn left and take an angled standing jump
with grab to the crevice in the east wall. Shimmy to the
right until you're able to pull up into a dark opening.
Light a flare and follow the passage to your right. At the
other end, hop into the sloped passage to your left and
immediately run to your left in an alcove to avoid a spiked
ball. Pick up SECRET # 1,
the Crossbow.
Don’t be too hasty to get into the passage as another spiked
ball will come down.
Get down the passage and slide and grab the wooden ledge
ahead of you, shoot the skeleton and take a running jump to
the SE where two more skeletons are waiting. Pick up
Flares in the NE and jump to the wooden ledge S where
you can pick up some Uzi ammo. Then another running
jump into the opening in the S wall.
Monkeyswing Pit.
Follow through and at the end take a jump forward and grab
the monkey swing. In the wall opposite is a crack, the
monkey swing goes to the left , stop in the next corner and
turn to face that crack. Let go, slide and jump and grab
that crack. Shimmy to the right and you can drop safely on a
block. Aim for the crack in the W wall; shimmy right till
you reach a ladder. Let Lara put her feet up, then
backflip/roll and grab the pillar. Take a running jump to
grab the crawlspace ahead (E).
Follow through and jump over a pit. In the next room there
is a guard high up on a ledge. There is also a
medipack on the block. Grabbing the medipack releases
some wraiths, so run to the staircase in the NW
corner, get your shotgun out and once on the top of the
stairs, shoot the guard and lure the wraiths to the cross in
the room way back in the E wall.
Go back to the top of the stairs and look for an opening in
the S wall (SW) and get in there. Jump up to grab the monkey
climb and follow through, around the left and to the right
and at the end you can drop onto the ledge to get that
small medipack. Back to the monkey climb, around a
corner and drop onto the ledge at the end. Slide down and
you will fall into a lake, swim straight ahead (S) and climb
out. Now shoot the three crocodiles swimming around
in there.
Aqueduct Lake.
Enter the room and jump on the white block on the right.
Take a running jump to the next to grab the edge and hoist
up. From there a running jump to the next and then just a
jump plus grab to get into the opening E.
Follow through to a room with a deadly floor, jump to the
block on the right and from there use the ladders that are
on the wall. Shimmy to the left till you are at least one
block away from the corner, climb almost down and back flip
to a save ledge. Enter the passage and climb up on the
right, jump the first pit, then the second, and a running
jump/grab over the third. Climb further, now on the left,
till you see a little stream.
Go to the right and climb up the ledge and crawl through.
This is SECRET # 2.
Go to the wooden jetty and take a running jump with grab to
the other side. A skeleton will wake up. Grab the Shotgun
ammo, and go into a crawlspace N, you'll see an
underwater door opening up after using the lever. Back
through the crawlspace and face E (look down in the water)
and dive in, swim to the iron grate and pick up a
medipack.
Swim back up and to right of the jetty S and climb out of
the water. Go back through the crawlspace, jump in the
stream and lower yourself down at the waterfall. Jump on the
rocks right (N), you can shoot a guard from there.
Lower yourself down and get the Shotgun ammo in the
SW corner of this shallow pool.
The Aqueduct, the Celtic Stone.
Now run over the grates, killing two guards on the way,
until you are at the end of the Aqueduct. At the end, a
safety drop down to the bridge over the pool where the level
started and take a running jump to the other side. Take care
of the skeleton, pick up some Shotgun ammo and the
Celtic Stone.
A door underwater opens, so dive into the water below and
take a deep breath before you swim into the opened door N.
This is a long swim and might take you a bit of your health.
At the end swim up and climb out onto the grated floor.
There are Flares in the corner of the room.
4 Sides Room.
Leading away out of this room are 3 tunnels.
N: First jump into the opening in the floor N, follow
this one through till you see an open door on the left,
(it's the door you opened at Secret # 2) and this tunnel
leads to SECRET # 3,
swim through and up and get the Flares N and
Shotgun ammo SW. Jump back into the water and it doesn’t
matter which way to swim as you end up at the metal grid
floor.
W: Jump back into the water at the W opening, swim
down and up and end up in a big underwater room. Swim
straight into that central structure, go in and up to climb
out. Get the Flares and the Shotgun on a
pedestal; this triggers a door to open. Jump in the water
and swim to the SW corner where that door is. Climb out of
the water and save your game as the next bit is timed.
Timed Swims.
Pull the lever a flyby starts, wait till it is finished and
pull the lever a second time after you saved, roll, jump
into the water, swim straight keeping the middle structure
on your left, go around the corner and take a left and in
the NE is a new opening, swim in and up and save again in
front of the lever. Again, pull, roll and jump into the
water, this time swim straight into the open door and up.
This lever is also timed though, so again pull, roll and
back into the water, swim to the right, keeping that central
structure on your left, around the corner and straight into
the open door (SE).
This is the last lever and this one isn’t timed. So pull,
back into the water and swim to the N wall. Go over a
staircase, swim to the right and pick up some Arrows,
roll and swim straight and wade out of the water. Pick up
the Shotgun ammo on the staircase, follow through and
around the corner is a pit and two skeletons awaken. Shoot
them into the pit and jump over it. If you fall in the pit,
swim to the W and climb out, you get back in the same
passage but now after the pit.
The 2nd Celtic Stone.
In the next room you can get the 2nd Celtic Stone
from the pedestal after shooting the guard, this also
triggers a door to open and some wraiths to pester you. Run
into the door and roll, jump and grab to the ladder and
climb up. Go straight jump over holes in the floor, go down
some steps and locate the cross in the next room to get rid
of the wraiths.
Underground Room.
Enter the opening in the fence S and come into a big
underground room with a pool. Go down the ramp and on the
right (S wall) is a floor lever you have to use. Jump into
the pool and swim SE to find an open door, swim through and
climb out and use another floor lever. Back into the water
and now swim into the open door W, go left and through
another open door. Follow through, down some steps and use
the floor lever, you see a bloc going up. So back to the
water, swim out to the pool and go to the left to climb out
NW to get to that block S.
Pillar Jumps.
Climb the block and grab the crack in front of you, shimmy
left, until you can’t go further, let go and slide, grab the
end and shimmy left again and back flip at the end. Climb up
into the opening E and on the left is another floor lever
opening up a door. Turn around and continue E, take a
running jump to grab the crack and shimmy left. Around the
corner you can let go and pick up some Shotgun ammo,
now pull up E and locate yet another floor lever.
Back to the door and safety drop out to shimmy even further
to the left and let go at the end. Take a running jump to
the other side (N) and grab the ladder, again climb this one
to the left, climb up until you are one block from the
ceiling, back flip, slide/jump and slide/jump till you are
save on a pillar.
Jump to the NE to land on a wooden ledge and enter the open
door. Climb a ladder on the right, follow this passage till
an opening in the floor filled with water. Swim left over
some steps and you are back at the place where you started
this level. Jump in the water and get out W, shoot two
guards and insert the two Celtic Stones. Go through the open
doors to the next level.
Level 2 - The Dam
Going around the corner there is one guard on the ground
floor and one way up on the left. Going W you see a croc
scurrying along. Go to the NE corner and climb up the blocks
there. Face W and jump on a slanted block, keep jumping and
end up a save block. Jump to the ledge N and go right, up
another block and use the monkey climb to get to the other
side.
Let go at the other end and go W and take a running jump to
grab the next ledge. Jump up the block there and again use a
monkey climb to the other side. Crawl into the crawlspace
and again make use of a monkey climb to get over the burning
pit. Follow through and grab the Shotgun ammo, then
take a left into the corridor W.
Underground Lake.
Take a running jump to the ledge W, kill a SAS soldier and
get his Revolver ammo. Go right around the corner and
follow through, descending a staircase till you arrive in a
small room with a cross statue. Go to the SE and by picking
up the Flares, you'll trigger some wraiths. Back up
to the cross and after they imploded you can go back down
through the SE opening.
At the junction turn to the right and go into a crawlspace
up on the left hand. Follow through and end up onto a
bridge. Pick up Shotgun ammo a bit further, get rid
of the skeleton that awakens, and continue to the end of the
bridge into that crawlspace (E). You can use the monkey
climb to the other side and at the end just jump into the
water below. Climb out S and safe in front of the wall
lever. Use it, roll jump in the water and swim to the now
open door, get the Laser Sight and a small
medipack SW as SECRET # 4,
picking up the medipack will open the door back up. Swim
back and climb up at the ledge with the lever and turn to
jump to the ladder and climb up. This time you better use
the monkey climb to get back to the bridge. Get rid of the
two skeletons and continue W, through that crawlspace and go
straight.
You are overlooking the lake and by looking down try to
shoot the crocs that are swimming there. Dive into the water
and swim to the NE corner where you can climb out. Shoot the
crocs, turn around and jump to the safe tiles to get across
this deadly pool. Continue to the W wall and locate the
ladder in the pit. Climb down till you have to let go and
grab to climb into the opening. Go further and at the end
take a running jump and immediately jump again to land safe
near a ladder.
Climb up the ladder, climb off on the left and around the
corner jump with grab to the iron mesh there. Climb to
almost to the top and back flip/roll/grab the next one and
up again to climb off onto the right. At the end of this
passage in the SE corner face N and hoist up and use the
floor lever. Go back but now jump to the right, the door
opens and use another floor lever. Drop down to the floor
and enter the open door S.
There are two routes that will lead you to the same room.
Route 1 is through the water: jump in and swim
through to an underwater room, keep swimming to the SE and
up and climb out. Slide down the slope backwards and you end
up a block in a darkish room.
Route 2 is over land: jump to the other side and end
up in a room filled with water. Get the shotgun out and jump
to the ledge on the left and blast that skeleton over the
edge. Next jump to the ledge against the wall, same faith
for this skeleton. Grab the monkey climb and at the end of
this short passage, slide down and end up in a darkish room.
Go S and around to the right to find a push button on the
wall. Watch the cut scene and go to the opening in the E
wall. Dive into the water and swim ahead and a bit to the
left and climb up a wooden jetty there. Shoot the croc and
go W but keep the bridge pillar on your right side. There,
halfway up is the open door from the cut scene. Safety drop
down a couple of floors and use the ladder to climb down.
The Plot Room.
Shoot the Guard and get his Shotgun ammo, another
guard runs away, shoot him, he is carrying Uzi ammo.
In the SE is a passage, go down the stairs shooting all
resistance and jump up the ledge with the push button. Lower
to the ground floor and descend the rest of this staircase.
SE is the door you just opened. Crawl through and use the
lever, Go back and go into the room, shoot two SAS soldiers
and one leaves a small medipack, the door in the SW corner
is now open. Get in and around the corner face S and climb
up, use the lever, watch the fly by and get down to the
ground floor.
Two wraiths are triggered so run back through the Plot room,
up the staircase SE, run to the NW corner where the ladder
is (watch your health) and climb up the blocks and by then
the wraiths should go away, so climb higher and into an
opening S. Jump down and traverse to the NE corner, dive in
and swim to that underwater opening in the dam there. Swim
through and to the right and climb out. Run through the open
gate and the level changes.
Level 3 - The Dungeon
Run further and watch the flyby. Go to the E wall and climb
the stairs, look NE near that wall torch and jump to the
pillar to retrieve the Shotgun ammo on it. Jump back
and continue up. On this floor there are different ways to
continue.
Upper Hall.
East, Burner Jumps.
We go to the East first. Save at the water. Take a step ot
two back from the edge and take running jumps over the
blocks and steer left or right when needed and grab the
ledge. Use the lever and a cut scene shows a first wall
torch lightning up. Run to the water and jump in, a door
in the E wall opened. First take a deep breath and swim all
the way to the back of the room below to get the Shotgun
ammo, turn and swim back to the water and take a
breather. Swim to the NW and climb out to run back to the
main hall.
South, 5 Levers.
Go to the South opening and jump in the water, in the SW is
an underwater opening, swim in and up and use the lever.
Back to the water, swim E and climb out near a ladder. Up
the ladder and when Lara’s head is at the bridge level a
back flip. Take a running jump to the bridge and jump down
at the other end (N). There is a lever up N but another one
if you turn around. Jump and grab back up to the bridge, run
to the other end and take a running jump to that ledge SW,
from there, jump down SE and use the lever (the crack you
see in the wall was meant to get you to this lever, but it
was easier to jump here from the bridge).
Go back and a running jump with grab back to the bridge. Go
the N and spot the last of the levers you have to use NW.
Take a running jump (no Ctrl) to the lever.
Jump in the water, swim E to the ladder and climb the ladder
up. Back flip at the top, climb to the next and use the
monkey climb to go all the way to the gate in the N wall.
Use the lever and see a cut scene of a second wall torch
being lit. Jump in the water turn and swim to the entrance
and go back to the main room.
North, the Pits.
Go to the pit and jump SE and slide back, shimmy to the
left. Pull up, jump/roll and grab the next lower ledge.
Shimmy a bit to the left, let go and grab the crack. Shimmy
to the right around the corner, let go, slide and jump to
grab the ledge opposite. Shimmy right and around the corner
and you can stand safe there. Drop backwards, let go/grab
and again let go/grab and shimmy around the corner, let go
and slide and jump plus grab the ledge opposite.
Shimmy right and drop to the ground floor. Pick a small
medipack in the SW corner and go into the opening NE.
Climb up a block and keep on climbing as high as you can go,
take a jump and grab even one block higher (W). More blocks
to conquer and at the end you hear and see a door opening.
Push the big button, the third of the wall torches lights,
leave that place, a skeleton is roaming around.
Lower Hall.
Shortest way to the ground floor is through the opening in
the floor and into the water. Pull up out and go to the W
and enter there. Locate a ladder (W wall) and climb down.
Get into the crawlspace NE and push the button there. Get
out and up the ladder and jump over the translucent tiles to
the other side. Take a couple of standing jumps and use the
lever in the wall. Watch the cut scene of the last wall
torch lighting up and the door opens.
Go back the same way. In the main room the door right of the
fireplace is open, so use the lever. Go to the pool and see
the grate in the corner is down, so jump in and swim though.
Keep all the time to the left or to the right (it doesn’t
matter) and swim up in the Cave at the end. Follow this
waterway to climb out near a button and push it. Small
trembles occurs and go back to where you entered this area
and swim back, going either all the time left or right.
Climb out of the pool and notice a spiked boulder W. Go to
the staircase and run upstairs, lure the skeleton to the
pool edge and shoot him in the water. Back to the staircase,
another skeleton will be waiting.
To the First Celtic Stone.
Climb on top of the grey pillar; turn to the E and jump grab
the ledge. Shoot yet another skeleton off this ledge and
enter the open door under the 4 lit wall torches.
Follow through and in the next room, jump into the water. Go
to the E wall and dive down into an underground lake. Swim
under the bridge straight ahead to an open door. Climb out
and enter this passage. Get the Celtic Stone from the
pedestal and watch the flyby.
Back to the lake, swim under the bridge to the shallow pool
and climb out on the left (SE). Go around to the opposite
side and climb the ladder. Back flip almost at the top, take
a running jump to the other side, out of the door with the 4
torches to the Upper Hall and run off into the water
beneath. Swim into the opening, follow the tunnels and go to
where that big button is. At the end the gate has gone.
The Waterfall Cave.
Run through and jump to the gate on the right. The gate
opens, jump to the left side ridge and into the water there
with a slight curve so that Lara will end up sliding
backwards. Grab the edge, let go and grab again, shimmy to
the right around the corner and you can stand safe here.
Pick up the small medipack, use the lever and jump in
the water.
Let the current carry you along and at the end swim left
(NE) and climb out. Use the floor lever, back to the water
en swim straight into the opposite opening and up. Once on
dry land again go into the crawlspace (N wall) and get the
Shotgun ammo. Go back out and now climb the blocks.
Climb the ladder almost to the top and back flip. Go through
the opening, jump to the other side and safety drop down.
Lara will slide to a safe area. Jump in the water and swim
to the left (S). The current is gone and so are the burning
tiles, Grab the Arrows and enter the open door for
SECRET # 5, more
Arrows.
Back into the water, swim all the way to the end and go
right (SE) and climb all the blocks and the ladder again and
back flip to that wooden ledge. Slide down again but this
time look SE and jump to the next flat surface and hop over
to the next. Take a running jump to the ridge near the
waterfall then jump over the water and another jump to the
flat surface SE. Walk around it and climb on a block. Jump
up to the next (N) and the next till you arrive in a room.
Get the Shotgun ammo N, take care of the two
skeletons, and jump into the water below. There is a
small medipack on a block, then swim S into an opening.
Swim to the right and then up and climb out. Use the big
button, back to the water and the small pool. The door at
the foot of the stairs is open, go down the stairs, into the
room on the end, go right and through a curtain in the NE
corner. Climb up some blocks, crawl into a crawlspace, and
drop down at the other end. Hop down to the floor and use
the floor lever to turn the electricity off. Go back up and
out, the area at the machine is now safe, so go in and push
the lever there. Turn and back to the room with the stairs
and go right (W) under an arch and through the opened doors.
The Alba Key.
Take the first curtain on the left (SE) and get some
Flares, then take the most right curtain (SW) and go up
a ramp and at the end, push the button. Down the ramp, go
straight to the N wall into the opening and get the
Shotgun ammo. Go back out and left and go through the
curtain there (N wall). Drop down; follow through and at the
end behind the door pick up the Alba Key.
Back out to the main room, go left and into the last curtain
of the N wall. Climb up the ladder and get onto a ledge way
up the room. Go W and stop when you reach the rightmost
pillar on the other side. Take a running leap of faith with
grab to an invisible ledge and another running jump to the
other side and enter the open door on the right. Pick up
SECRET # 6, the
Revolver.
The Second Celtic Stone.
Take a safety drop to the ground floor and go to the NW
corner and place the Alba Key on its receptacle. The glass
in front of the pedestals with the Gems is gone. Take the
left hand Celtic Stone (the other one sets Lara
ablaze) and run to the E (while being chased by wraiths) and
you'll find the hallway collapsed. A runjump sharp around
the right hand corner (NO Ctrl) will get you onto the stairs
leading to the Plot Room, run up and onto that block in the
water and get rid of the wraiths. Back down the stairs again
a jump with NO Ctrl to the righ hand side of the hall where
you need the Gems and insert those two Celtic Stones.
The Pit.
Enter and take a running jump with a curve to the right SE.
You'll wake up two skeletons, go and grab the Shotgun
ammo in the pool. Back to the pit. Jump to the ledge N
and go toward the torch on the wall and do a safety drop
down. Go N and walk around to the SW corner and enter the
opening a bit further (S wall). There is a crawlspace, first
crawl straight and jump down, use the lever (#1), get back
up, crawl in and to the right, use the next lever (#2). Go
back out of the crawlspace and runjump NE with a right hand
curve to get into the open door E. Follow through and use
the lever (#3), go back and crawl into the crawlspace S
(just before you get out the second door), lower and jump
over the pit to get the small medipack. Back out of
this crawlspace (use the monkey climb if you like).
Now get out the door, go to the N, through the narrow
passage and climb up N to the ledge over the fence. Go to
the SE area and into the opening. At the end, safety drop
grabbing the edge, shimmy to the right and hoist up. Go left
and into the crawlspace for a small medipack, once
back go W and left again, and the door is open now so you
can use the lever (#4). Now go up the steps and at the top
into the opening in the ceiling. You are back behind the
door with the two Celtic Stones. If you look E the door
there is now open. So jump to the right (SE), then towards
the wall torch (N) and drop down near the door. Climb up and
go in to use the lever (#5).
Pillar Push for a Secret.
Go back out and go N, around the W side to jump grab up to
the opening up S, go around right and up the stairs you used
before. Climb back up the hole in the ceiling. Turn around
there and look up NE, jump and grab up into that openiong
and from there jump E. Go up the ramp, push the column first
to the N and then to the S, the door nearby opens. This is
SECRET # 7, a
small medipack and Shotgun ammo.
Flood the Pit for the Caledonian Key.
Continue up the ramp, shoot the skeleton into the water, go
around and use the lever behind the computer. This awakens
another skeleton and the water is lowered, that previous pit
is now flooded. Jump into the water, on the bottom there is
an opening S. Swim through to the Pit and dive again to the
bottom, not in the hole there but in the S wall a door is
open. At the end of this passage you get the Caledonian
Key.
The Fire Stone.
Swim out and up and climb up E and use the Caledonian Key on
the door. Pick up the Fire Stone at the end and the
cut scene shows you that opening in the bottom of the Pit.
So jump in the water and swim to the opening.
The Aqueduct
(part 2)
Surface and swim NW to climb out near the waterfall and
place the Fire Stone, enter and slide down.
Level 4 - The Sanctuary
Run up the stairs and in this main room are several
openings. First go the NW corner and climb more stairs.
There is an opening on the left (W wall) go in and jump a
spiked pit. Continue down the ramp, don’t touch the button
on the left, but turn around and descend the ladder. At the
end, let go and grab again and hoist up. Go in and get
SECRET # 8, the
Grenade Gun on a block. Turn S and jump into the opening
there, at the end get the Uzi and the Uzi ammo.
Go back out and jump on the block and look up and W, get
into that crawlspace, at the end on the right (W) is another
crawlspace and climb up on the right in the pit where the
spikes were. Go further and save before that push button.
Push it, roll and run forward avoiding a spiked boulder.
Around the corner left is another button. Go out, up the
ramp and jump over the pit. (In the pit is that crawlspace
that leads to the secret room in case you pushed the first
button too early).
Once back go to the left and on the right (E wall) near the
double closed door is a door that you just opened. Don’t go
there just yet as you’ll be back later so for now return (S)
to the main room and to the SW. Go up the stairs into a sort
of Library. Go through the arch W and into a room with 3
openings.
East, the Fire Stone.
Get in and in the back is a tomb; there is a small
medipack in it. Turn to the N wall and pull up in the
opening there. Use the monkey climb to get to the other
side. Release and grab and crawl in. Go left (S) and take a
running jump/grab to the opening ahead, and again, enter a
room with a pole in the middle. Get the Flares in the
tomb on the left, go to the back of the room and climb the
pole facing S. Climb up about 8 times and back flip. Climb
this pole as well, also facing S and when the camera
chances, back flip. Two skeletons are guarding a lever.
Kill them and jump over and into the passage to use the
lever. The door on the other side opens, so go out, jump to
the beam and a running jump to the next and a jump with Ctrl
to get in the opening. Push the button and yes, jump back to
the S. Follow through, jump over the slope and fall into a
small pool. Pull up S and get the Fire Stone on the
pedestal. Jump in the water and swim into the opening in the
NW corner. Follow through and pull out and you are back at
the room with the 3 openings.
North, the Celtic Stone.
Go left (N) and at the end use the ladder to climb down. Go
to the ground floor and save before exploring.
Gates and Levers.
This is how it goes: Go N and when you step on the wooden
floor tile a gate goes open on your right (E). Run in and
just around the corner is a gate to the right. When you step
on the tile in front of that gate you'll see a shaking of
the screen. Turn around and go back to the room you just
left. The cage there is gone, use the lever.
Back into the E corridor and into the next room. Run over
the wooden tile and enter the opening S. Just around the
corner on the second tile, you see the room shake a bit,
retrace your footsteps and again the cage is gone, use the
lever.
Back to the passage and in the next room, walk over the
wooden tile, into passage and again around the corner,
return and use lever # 3.
Go to the passage and run to the next room, in the cage is a
blue gem and a fire. Walk over the wooden tile, go into
passage and you can go back and the cage is gone but the Gem
is till on fire. So keep on walking enter the next room and
passage and that gate around the corner is now open. Push
the button and now you have to repeat everything till you
are back at the gem. The fire is gone but the cage is back
so go N around the corner to where the screen shakes and
return to grab the Celtic Stone. Turn E and carefully
run or jump around those tiles with the pattern as that will
trigger the wooden block to go up again in the exit.
Climb the block and the ladder (W) and go through the arches
to the library and the main room.
South East, Lava Pit and the Alba Key.
Go all the way to the back, left and right are levers. Pull
them both and the floor of the room caved in. Go to the left
and jump from there onto the tallest block and keep doing
jumps down till you are on the bottom. 2 Fire wraiths
appear. Jump to the W on a tile and then onto the ledge. In
the NW corner is a hole in the floor, runjump in there and
you fall into water. The wraiths will drown there.
Swim into the triangle shape opening N, go left and around
the corner pick up the Alba Key. Cut scene of more
wraith being released. Return to the middle room and now go
into the W opening. Keep going to the W and swim up, go to
the right (N) and up. Pull out and run to the cross statue.
Don’t go into the door NW but return to the water, swim down
to the intersection and now go straight (S). Pull up at the
end of a shaft and locate the floor lever in the NW corner.
Timed Secret Run.
Save, as this next part is a timed run. It is a bit hard to
find but this is the way to go. Use the lever and hit the
look key, roll and run/jump in the water in the corner. Swim
down, follow through over the hole and up the shaft to the
room with the cross. Run to the corner passing the pedestal
and go right (E) all the way to the back of the main room,
turn right into the room with the Lava Pit. Run to the left
(watch out for that burning basket) and pull up on the block
(ignore the medipack) turn right and pull up to run straight
through the open door way for
SECRET # 9, Revolver ammo.
For now go out and down (you can place the Celtic Stone now
or later), now get that medipack below, grab back up
to the ledge above and go W, there you can dop down onto
another block so you'll avoid that nasty basket and get the
second Fire Stone. Go back a bit and face E and
jump/grab the wooden ledge there. From there go down to the
other block and get down to the floor.
The Chapel, the Bard’s Scroll.
Back to the main room, to the NW and go into the opening E
you opened before, follow this passage to the next story and
there against the N wall are the receptacles for the Fire
Stones. Go back into the passage you came from and look up
in the first corner to spot an opening. Go in, passing an
open door and at the intersection carefully go up the ramp
and trigger a boulder, quickly hop back. After the boulder
you can go up the ramp and end up way up high in a chapel.
Run/jump to the first rope, then swing to the next. Then to
the wooden rafter in front of you. Go to the corner and
through the passage and slide down in the water. Climb out
and get from the pedestals a small medipack and
Shotgun ammo. Jump back in the water, swim down and into
the S passage, the rest are dead ends. Swim up and climb out
and take the Bard’s Scroll. You'll hear a door
opening up. Go back in the water and at the intersection
swim up and climb out.
The Chapel, the second Alba Key.
The door is NW, follow through and opposite the door on your
right is an alcove and a button. Push it, run to the room
and watch the fly by. Watch out for a skeleton, (you can
lure it back to that room with the pool you just came from).
The middle tomb has some Grenade ammo. Go S, out of
the chapel into the door on the left (E), go up the ramp, at
the end turn and climb up again to make your way to the
rafters.
Go to the SW corner and crawl into that crawlspace. Once out
do a safety drop (loosing some health), face S and do a
running jump to that alcove near the window. Drop back and
shimmy to the left and pull up. Get the second Alba Key
and this triggers also some wraiths. Jump to the wooden
ledge and run off the right onto the stained window and
slide down.
Run to the NW passage and up the ramp to jump into the
water. Go back down to the chapel; go to the S and back to
the main room.
East, place the Alba Keys.
Go to the E wall with a pool filled with poisonous water. NE
and SE are holes in the floor, jump in and find the button
to push in both openings. Get out and in the NW corner is a
ladder, climb down and run over the wooden tile and up the
ledge and go right (E) and jump in the water. The current
takes you away.
Run through and a small earthquake starts, turn left and you
are back at the same place where that wraith was pestering
you. The water however is frozen over so now you can use the
lever there. Back to the room down, the door S opens, climb
the ladder and return to the poisonous water room. Go to the
NE corner as the gate from the cut scene is there. Go up the
stairs, use the lever, roll and go up the W passage, the
other is a dead end. At the end turn around and place the
two Alba Keys. Safety drop to the floor below.
Go to the NW corner and climb down the ladder, stand on the
wooden tile and turn left (W) and take a standing jump to
grab the wooden ledge. Go in and up the stairs and around in
the corner is a floor lever. Back down the stairs again and
now you can see that the opposite side the door has opened.
Take a running jump over there and descend the stairs. In
the small room are four push buttons, use only three in the
next order; SE, NW and SW (not the one in the NE
corner) as any other order will set Lara ablaze. Go back up,
drop to the floor and exit through the S passage and up the
ladder.
The second Celtic Stone.
Jump in the now empty pool and get the second Celtic
Stone. You hear a door opening, so climb out and jump
down in the NE hole, go back up the stairs, through the
passage W. Take a running jump to the top shelve on the
right (NW) and get into a room with movable pillars.
Pull/push all 4 pillars onto the brighter tiles on the
floor. The door NE opens, get in and use the floor lever.
Get out and see that the pillars all have been raised. Jump
on the one in the middle and climb up. Grab the Bard’s
Scroll and go back down again and down the ramp S.
Safety drop to the floor below and go W to the main room.
The Ramparts Thistle.
Now to the library (SW) and use the scrolls left (S) and
right (N). Back to the main room again, to the SE corner, go
left and climb up and higher and now insert the Celtic
Stones in the S, left and right). You'll see a fly by of the
cage finally lifted so make your way to the main room and
pick up the Ramparts Thistle. This also triggers a
door in the S wall on the right to open. Go up the ramp and
slide down.
The Dungeons
(part 2)
Pick up the Golden Key from the pedestal and the door
behind you opens. Slide down into a computer room and into
the hole in the corner. Drop down in the water and swim
through the opening S. Go to the SE corner and pull up, go
to the back of the room and use the Golden Key and enter.
The Dam
(part 2)
Run down the ramp and quickly jump to tha ledge either left
or right to avoid the boulders. Then jump to the W and push
the button, continue and jump in the lake. Swim straight
forward, passing that scripture and turn left to locate a
hole in the bottom NW behind that bridge. Swim down in an
underwater maze.
Underwater Button Maze, a Secret.
Take the first left and keep left and swim up, pull out
follow the passage passing a closed door and push the button
(#1). Go back and jump in the water and swim SW and up, pull
out N and push the button (#2). Jump back in the water, swim
SE and up to push the last button (#3). Back in the water
and turn right (N) and right again and up, you’ve been here
before so follow through this passage and the door at the
end is open. Get SECRET # 10,
Flares and Revolver ammo.
Onwards.
Back to the water, swim to the far NW corner of the Maze,
pull out W and climb up, turn around and jump up to climb
the ladder.
Turn around and jump to the ledge (the other way takes you
to the lake). Take the passage to the left (S); you get to a
room with a pool and a ramp with spikes on the right (W).
Spiked Boulder Ramp, a Secret.
Save here, as there will be boulders coming down. hop
backwards onto the surface near the first set of spikes (S),
immediately jump back to the side of the pool, now go slowly
up along the same S side keeping left as much as possible.
Stop whenever you hear boulders coming and go on to the top
of the slope like this. When all the boulders are triggered
you have to go down the ramp with the spikes again to
trigger the door S to open. Stand with your back to the pool
facing the ramp, the middle tile is the trigger and it is
timed. So sprint up and go left into the door. Climb up on
the right and push the button. Go down the ramp with the
spikes again, go left at the pool and follow this passage to
the N end and get SECRET # 11,
the Revolver and Revolver ammo a bit further
on the left.
Onwards.
Back to the pool and go up the spiked ramp and now you can
go down the ramp on your right. Jump to the ladder, shimmy
right and around the corner and drop (or runjump straight in
there with a grab). Jump down E and crawl into that
crawlspace. Push the button and go back (wraiths are
released), climb up W and jump down in the water beneath. In
the NE is a ledge you can climb on, turn around and jump to
the next ledge. Face N and jump up to the ledge there and
show the wraiths the cross on your right. Hop back down onto
that block in the waster below and jump to grab to the
ladder E.
The second Ramparts Thistle.
You can't do anything else here than save before you jump in
the water and let the current take you around the structure,
try to swim high however. On the other side (N) is an
opening that is where you have to swim in. Best is to let
the current take you and keep as close to the building as
possible. Once in, swim up and climb out. Jump on another
block, turn around and climb the ladder. Get the second
Ramparts Thistle and go to the S where doors opened. For
a nasty Secret you can go onto the E side bridge, run off
the right hand side landing on the rocks below, grab the
edge and shimmy left to the entrance.
Go in and find SECRET # 12,
a Medipack across a deadly pit. I couldn't get that
jump after many tries so I left it a that. Some say you have
to curve the jump a bit, others state you have to jump as
straight as possible, with a grab without a grab... Try if
you like. After this you have to dive into the water again
and get back up to the top of the pillar. Go get the
Laser Sight and Revolver (will count as Ammo)
from the pedestal S and head through the door.
The Aqueduct
(part 3)
Follow through and jump in the water and swim to the NE
corner. Climb out and follow this passage.
Level 5 - Celtic Folly
Run through the open door at the end, there is a guard here
and another one will join him soon. On the pedestal W you
can grab the Revolver ammo. Go through the fence to
the N and jump in the water. Don’t dilly-dally, as there are
sentry guns. Swim right and at the end (NE corner) you can
pull out. Go up the stairs and shoot the SAS soldier and
when you are almost at the top, turn around for another
sneaky SAS soldier. Be very careful to step outside, as
sentry guns will lock on to you. Keep some medipacks handy
as you have to use the two Ramparts Thistles on the N wall
and the sentry gun will have a go at you.
The gate on your left opens so run inside. At the end go
right and use the button, then roll and there is no need to
go to the next room, as you need some artefacts first. So go
out, jump in the water and swim through the open gate W.
Continue through the SW corner and take the first
opportunity to breath, dive down again and swim into the
next tunnel, keep swimming and the gate will open and at the
end climb out and turn around to shoot the crocs. Go back to
the water and through the open gate and turn right and swim
up for SECRET # 13,
Flares, Uzi ammo and a medipack on a pedestal.
Back in the water and swim S and pull out again. Now go to
the opening W.
The Slicer Dicers.
Save at the beginning and run after the slicer dicer to
climb up the ledge. Climb as high as you can and avoid being
sliced or diced. Jump to the other side (axle) and climb to
the top. You are quite safe there. Jump down one ledge and
take a running jump with grab to land in the opening S. A
SAS soldiers shoots you, he carries Uzi ammo. So pick
that up and go up the ramp and save again. This area has two
slicers dicers, so after the second passed run after it to a
block on the right hand side and drop into an opening in the
floor, follow through this passage and use the floor lever.
Go back out, run after the slicer and jump up the blocks
(you stand safe in the corner against the right hand wall).
Take a running jump to the axle and climb to the top. On the
right (W) is an opening, climb in.
Run down and jump the pit that is there for a boulder.
Continue down and shoot the soldier. Walk to the end and aim
for the pole taking a standing jump. Turn around and go down
the pole a bit till Lara’s head is just above the opening,
turn around and back flip into the opening. Use the floor
lever and go back to the pole. Looking down is another
opening so slide down till Lara’s feet are touching the
water, climb up twice, turn and another back flip. Push the
floor lever (you hear a trapdoor opening) and go back once
more to the pole. The next opening, the one with the
trapdoor is way up N, Lara’s head should stick above the
opening, turn and back flip. Down into the now open
trapdoor. Walk to the end and find 2 bird crosses in the N
alcoves, in the middle alcove is the Crowbar. Find a
push button E, go back and shoot the two SAS soldiers (one
leaves Revolver ammo behind) you just let out and go
into the open double gate on the right.
A Crowbar, 2 Celtic Stars and a Celtic Stone.
Use the floor lever in a corner, get the Flares S and
go out and to the right and into the open gate. Pry the
Celtic Star from the wall and beetles stream out of the
wall. The door also closes, I am not sure what triggers the
door open again but I ran to it and hopped back running
around the fire and then to the door again and it opened
(maybe just timed). Go left and after the double gate left
again into the next gate. Get the second Celtic Star
from the wall and a wraith is loose. You better also pick up
the Celtic Stone that appeared like magic on the
pedestal on the left. Run out and go left run to the bird
crosses (the right hand one works).
Go into the passage S near the push button and use the
Stone. Go to the wooden ledge, drop down E and walk to the
gate, enter and you’re back at the beginning. Run to the N
and cross the bridge, head into the open gate NW, go left
and use the two Celtic Stars on the door. Go through the
double doors and shoot two SAS guards.
Go right (E) and at the end jump in the water, on a wooden
pillar you can pick up the Uzi ammo, this triggers a
door a bit further down to open. Spot a very small opening
in the NE corner, E wall and swim through. At the end swim
up and climb out for SECRET # 14,
another Uzi. Back to the water and swim to the S and
through the open gate. Pull up on the right (N). Take the
stairs again and at the end a hairpin right and then left,
through the open double gate, and E to the pit. This time
walk up on the right hand higher ground and jump to the
other side, this part is protected by a sentry gun and two
SAS soldiers. So run to a pillar and take cover behind it.
Run S and watch for another SAS guard. Sprint S and coming
to a large hall with pillared niches, another guard will
open fire from the right side. Get the Uzi ammo from
that niche after you shot him and run to the opposite alcove
to push the button on the left. Continue S and in the right
hand niche is another button, push it as well, this opens
the double door S. But first go to the opposite niche and
grab the monkey climb and climb/crawl into the opening E.
This is SECRET # 15,
a medipack. Get out and now go through the double
doors S.
A Celtic Star.
Climb the steps E and from the top jump to the pillar in the
middle, you can shoot two SAS soldiers from here, up in the
openings. Turn to the E and jump up to grab the rope and
swing to the ledge. More soldiers await you, go down the
stairs, pick up the Revolver ammo one of them dropped
and use the lever at the gate. Don’t forget to pry the
Celtic Star from the wall E.
Go out and jump back to the pillar, now face NW and swing to
that opening there. Grab the Revolver ammo the
soldier left and safety drop to the floor. There is nothing
here for now, so head back N through the doors towards the
sentry gun. Keep on the right and find the receptacle for
the Celtic Star. Go in and left (W) climb down the ladder
and when the spikes below pop up, let go and grab the next
ledge and hoist up. Crawl further, get the medipack
in the water and climb out W. Run to the end, picking up
some Revolver ammo as you go, follow through and
shoot more soldiers in the next room (one of them drops a
small medipack).
Face the W wall and avoid being burned by the emitter when
you go into the passage there. Push the button and roll and
wait for two crocs to appear. Then run out to the N wall, as
both gates are open. Take either opening, and into an alcove
in the back, face E, jump/grab up and backflip, keep the
jump button pressed for the second ledge and grab the third.
Push the button and drop back to the water below as the
trapdoor opened. Grab the small medipack and Uzi
ammo and climb out.
The Bike, the first Ramparts Thistle.
Go back to the large room, go to the SW corner and pull up
into the opening, drop down at the other end and get on the
bike. Drive up the ramp and over a bridge, keep on the left
and make enough speed to jump over the gap. Get off the
motorbike on the other side and jump into the water below.
Pick up a small medipack (SW corner) and some
Shotgun ammo (under the bridge abutment near the SE
corner). Pull up onto the ledge above the shotgun ammo, and
climb onto the block ahead for the first Ramparts Thistle.
Fire Jumps.
Take a running jump and grab west to the next block. Pull up
and walk forward to the right hand corner. Take a slightly
angled running jump and grab to the higher pillar west,
shimmy left and around the corner pull up next to the wall,
watch out for the emitter though. I would save here and the
next jumps have to be done at the last possible moment every
time, just before the emitters start you have to jump. Take
a running jump to the block N, wait a bit and a running jump
with a curve for the next pillar on your right. Wait a bit
and jump/grab to the last pillar when the emitter is down,
landing against the N wall. Wait for the emitter to die down
again and jump to the ivy covered wall ahead. Climb as high
as and shimmy to the right (be sure to be above the arch
over the bridge and then drop down on the bridge. Go back
the bike.
Go to the right, avoiding the opening in the floor. A sentry
gun will shoot you but keep going. To the left, keep driving
left to avoid another big hole in the floor be careful with
the emitters, go over a bridge into a cave and park the
bike. There is an opening in the W wall a bit further down.
At the end (W) is a button, push it and you see a door
opening. Return and if you want you can get that small
medipack on the second step S. Get to the bike, drive
down the steep slope S and through the open double doors
towards the area with the sentry gun. Leave the bike and run
to the place where you placed the Celtic Star the door on
the right is open.
The Alba Key.
Behind the door is a push button, this lets the flame die
for a short time, so roll and run and climb up the wooden
pillar. Pick up Uzi ammo and turn around and climb even
higher. Grab the Alba Key and jump to the floor. Get
back on the bike and drive back through the double doors and
park the bike. Insert the Alba Key S and enter an obscure
room.
The Skull of Knowledge.
In this room are 3 floor levers and your goal is to get the
item on the burning pedestal. The solution is a bit obscure,
so here it goes. Push the lever in the SW, run around it and
push it back. Then go to the lever SE and push it. The last
one is in the NW corner, go to the middle of the room and
pick up the Skull of Knowledge, a fly by starts.
Unfortunately this also triggers a fire wraith. Run to the
open doors, go into the room to the right and jump in the
water in one of the corners, wait till the wraith also takes
a plunge.
The Great Escape.
Get to the bike and drive it through the doors N, and on the
square where the the sentry gun point the bike to the NW and
drive passing the sentry gun and jump the gap. Follow
through to the end go around the corner and killing some
guards and around another corner go down through open gates
and smash the wall.
The second Ramparts Thistle.
You'll have to pass some sentry guns and stop the bike at
the end, to the S is a medipack, take the bike and
drive up N and get the second Ramparts Thistle from
the pedestal.
Turn the bike, get out and drive back passing the sentry
guns again, through the doors and up the hill. Leave the
bike and go to the E wall and climb up NE. Insert the two
Ramparts Thistles E there, a rope will appear SW.
Take a running jump to the rope and swing to the N wall in
the opening there. And by picking up the Bird Artefact
on the pedestal a fly by starts and the level ends there.
