Treasure
Island by Psiko
(Antonio Tarantello )

Treasure
Island
Having found
the ‘Treasure Island’ book from her huge library, Lara reads
about the treasure of Flint, a dead Captain of the Seas,
hidden on an unknown island of the Pacific. Lara falls
asleep and the book drops from her hands revealing a double
cover, which seems to exactly reveal the location of the
island described by Flint in his treasure map and that's why
Lara decides to leave again for the Pacific Ocean.

Psiko is certainly ahead of his time and is one of our
world's true artists. This level may not be to everyone's
taste, but no one can dispute it was crafted by a master
level designer. I have to give credit to Psiko for having
the pioneering spirit and artistic ability to put something
like this together. And the funny thing is, the first time I
played through it, I didn't particularly enjoy it, but the
second time through it was one my favourite levels in the
whole LatM experience. Go figure!
Being Scottish I suppose I was always going to enjoy seeing
Lara in a kilt! Good use of new objects throughout and I
loved the pirates! The final treasure room I thought was
superb, wonderfully laid out and a very satisfying end to
what was a memorable little adventure.
All in all I'd say this was a highly professional modern
artists personal journey into Lara's world and one that is
not to be missed.
