Jurassic Park Walkthrough
There are seven secrets to find.
Level One (Three secrets)
After the cutscene, the earthquake and the subsequent
firefight as the raptors and the T Rex break free, step
outside and head left into the first room. Remember the keys
on the burner you just passed, as you will be back later to
pick them up. Also make a mental note of the burner tile
which isn’t yet lit.
This is the generator room and if you explore the ceiling
you’ll find a trapdoor you can jump up to. Make a mental
note of the second burner tile which isn’t lit then up you
go through the trapdoor.
Collect the flares then check out the gratings on the walls.
These are shootable with pistols if you don’t have any
shotgun ammo. Stand in a corner of the crate in the next
room and jump up and down while firing. There is a scatter
with the pistol bullets and they will eventually take out
the grate. Up you go, and crawl and shoot out the other two
grates from a crouched position.
Careful as you shoot out the next grate and lower yourself
into the next room as there is a raptor lurking. The timed
door isn’t tight but it is awkward. The trick is to run
round the box without bumping into anything and then sprint
up the slope. There is a third burning tile here which is
unlit, so make your mental note, then use the switch which
opens a door to one of the offices and then head back out
into the street.
Head north and shoot the compie before the cute little brute
poisons you, then head right until you find a dead guard
lying in the street. He’s lying on something you need, so
pull him out of the way and pick up the computer disk.
Yep, there is a computer terminal in the office so off you
go and try out your PC skills and you’ll find that the CD
has the codes to open one of the raptor pens, back towards
where the jeep is.
The door slams shut behind you and there is nowhere else to
go but down into the flooded caves system. There are some
annoying bats around so have your pistols ready. When you
reach the area with two closed doors, check up on the
shadowed wall on the left and hoist up into the crawlspace.
There is a croc lurking in the water, so either avoid him or
swim back to the ledge and shoot him from there. Either way,
swim through the caves and climb out into the dry passage.
At the end you will have to crawl out backwards and shimmy
round to the rock ledge
Your first challenge. See the ledge slightly to the right on
the other side of the pool? Yep, that’s where you have to
jump to. It’s not as difficult as it looks, it’s more a case
of finding the right spot and angle to jump from. Jumping
slightly left and then curving right to avoid the overhang
can help enormously. Make sure you save or you’ll have to
swim round again.
When you land safely, up you go! There is another croc in
the next room and you can either jump down and take him on
or try to shoot him from the passage above. Up to you. He’s
not so hard. A short swim in the pool will reveal an
underwater switch which I’m sure you’ll figure out what
you’re supposed to do with. It opens the other nearby door
actually, which is dead handy! The other door opens
conveniently for you as you approach so off you go into the
next area.
Interesting pool this. Jump across to the other side and be
careful you don’t get run over by the boulder. Actually, the
boulder was kind of useful. If you check the bottom of the
pool, you’ll find it cracked open a metal grille. Pull that
underwater switch too and then head back up to the boulder
room where the door is now open.
Another darned croc! Try to avoid him and shoot the bugger
from the safety of a ledge in the next pool area. Then
monkey swing over to the other side, then drop and grab the
ledge and hoist up.
Before jumping up to the crawlspace, there is a
small
medipak tucked away in an alcove over by the fire pit.
If you don’t need it, fine, up into the crawlspace you go!
Ah, a nasty little fire pit with a ladder on the other side.
Don’t try to jump from the edge of the fire pool, take a
step back, then a jump back and do a running jump hugging
the wall and grab the ladder. But your worries are not quite
over yet. There is a raptor waiting for you up top. Try not
to jump backwards in fright or you’ll plop down into the
fire pool. Not very pleasant! You can avoid the raptor if
you like by simply running past him and jumping into the
pool below.
Ah, another croc! But there is an underwater lever you’ll
need to pull in here. You can either swim right through the
caves and emerge in the T Rex compound and take care of the
two raptors there and then the croc, or if you’re feeling
brave, you can pull the underwater switch first, entirely up
to you. Thing is, if you don’t pull the switch at some
point, you’re going to be stuck in the T Rex compound, as it
opens the door out of the compound. Oh dear.
If you’re into collecting secrets head on over to the south
west corner and jump up the mud slope to retrieve secret
one – a small medipak. Then it’s up to the control tower
on the other side of the T Rex compound. Pull the switch in
there and it opens the door to another office back in the
main streets.
Go left then right at the street corner, go then head up the
steps into the building to your left. To your left? Didn’t
the switch open the other office door? Er, yes it did. But
what the security camera didn’t show you was that it
actually opened two doors! And if you go to the other
office first you’ll find you’re short of a computer security
disk. Soooo, head up the steps into the office and pick up
the second computer disk from the desk and then head
on over to the other office
Head back past the jeep and make your way along the street
to the end and into the newly opened storehouse area next to
the raptor pen you saw in the opening cutscene. All three of
these doors are timed. But don’t panic, they are more
awkward than tight on timings. If you don’t run into walls,
the timings are not too bad.
But first we need to get into the raptor pen outside. So
climb up on the crate on the right and then jump and grab
the alcove and pull the switch that opens the double doors
outside. Then head into the raptor pen. Inside the cage is a
shotgun. Don’t panic when the cage door slams shut,
it’ll open again when you pick up the shotgun.
Now hoist up onto the pillar on the left of the main raptor
pen doorway and then shimmy across to the pillar on the
right hand side of the doors. From there you will be able to
run and jump onto the top of the cage where you will find a
third Computer Disk. Jump off the cage and pull the
switch on the right pillar by the double doors which puts
out the flame on the burner in the storeroom next door.
Before heading out, take note of the stone statue on the far
side of the raptor pen. We’ll be back later to collect a
secret here.
Up onto the burner and make your way to the top. The switch
is timed, but it’s easy if you get the technique right. Just
pull the switch and jump backwards then sprint through the
door. These timed runs are built more around technique than
purely tight timings, so once you discover the right method,
they’re quite achievable.
Inside the room there is an unlit burner. Be careful because
when you step on it, the flames come on! However, you need
to light the flames in order to open the door to get out
again! So nip over a corner and open the door BEFORE trying
the timed switch.
Take care of the compies in the next storeroom then repeat
the process to get through the third timed door. When you
shoot the raptor you can relax. To get out again, pull the
switch in the corner. Yeah, I know, it didn’t do anything
right? Okay, pull it again! Now why didn’t it work the first
time? I’ve no idea. It did that when I built the game and
thought, hey, that’s cute, I think I’ll leave it. And
so I did!
There is also a ceiling trapdoor here so jump up and haul it
down and up you go. In the burner room you will notice three
of the burners have a red marking on them. These are your
safe switched off burners. The trick here is not to jump
from the edge of a tile. You need to jump about a step
backwards from the edge. So angle run and jumps from a
corner, aiming to jump between two burners and slightly
curve to land on the safe tile is the method. Quite easy
once you figure out the technique. Again, this is technique.
The jumps are not impossible, in fact, they are relatively
simple once you know the technique.
Once you grab the torch make your way back the same way. The
final jump is quite difficult owing to the low doorway, but
hey, this is Jurassic Park eh, not a stroll in the park!
Right, back down the hatch and take the torch somewhere
where you can light it and then head back into the raptor
pen nearby. If you inadvertently closed the double doors,
you will have to climb back up and pull the switch that
opened them again.
Yep, you can light the statue. You’ll need to find the right
spot, and when you do, it’ll open a cave in the corner of
the pen. Down you go and find secret two – shotgun ammo
and a large medipak.
Remember the three unlit burners you made a mental note of
at the start of the level? Okay, grab your torch and off you
go and light them! That starts up the generator and that
opens up an office near the generator where you’ll find
another switch. That puts out the flame on the burner where
some sod chucked the gate key. Don’t burn your
fingers picking them up!
Remember where you found your first computer disk under the
dead guard? The nearby office is where you use the keys, so
off you go. Use your disk in the computer terminal, take
care of the two raptors, then head right until you find the
crawlspace, then head down the jungle track taking care of
any raptors that show up. Before leaving the level though,
there is another secret close by. There are a couple of rock
ledges on the right which you can jump up to which will
allow you to hoist up into a dark cave. A door closes behind
you so there is no going back. Avoid the rolling boulders
(you can sprint straight through if you time it right) and
collect secret three – the revolver.
Oops, something happened! Jump across the lava pit and then
head down the jungle track to the main doors heading to the
docks area and finish the level.
Level Two (Four secrets)
Enjoy the cutscene as the compies come running! But don’t
hang around, the little brutes may be cute, but they’re also
very deadly!
Your first task if to find the cave entrance down by the
cliffs lining the shore. Use the black rocks straight ahead
to shimmy your way over to the cave which is tucked away in
the corner. There is a raptor prowling around the cave, so
be prepared. If you hunt around you will find some shotgun ammo. When you find the level, use it and make
careful note of the fire going out somewhere in the large
dockside warehouse complex.
But before running off, find the moveable crate and push it
once to reveal another computer disk. If you push the
crate forward one more tile, the trapdoor in the roof of the
cave clangs open allowing you access to a secret area. Climb
up on the crate and up you go. But be careful! There is some
hot lava around and a couple of nasty tinnos wasps which
show up at most inconvenient times. When you’ve made your
way to the far side pick up secret four – a large medipak
and the revolver then make your way back down to the
cave and head on over to the Warehouse complex.
As you reach the first buildings, check the grille up on
your left. It’s shootable. If you use the grassy slopes
opposite the grille by jumping backwards and then jumping
high, you’ll find you can shoot out that grille using
pistols. Once you’re inside check the bookcase in the office
downstairs and use the switch to open a door across the road
in the warehouse. While you’re there might as well pick up
the flares.
Across in the warehouse you’ll find the short passage with
the burners with the flame you recently put out. Somehow you
have to get to the switch beyond. Again, this isn’t
difficult if you learn the technique. This isn’t some
mindless puzzle put there to annoy folks, it is a challenge
which is very simple once you learn the technique. The trick
is to take a running jump aiming to bounce off the wall
either left or right of the first flame. Aim to take off a
step or two away from the first burner. When you land on the
other side, the far flame goes out. But don’t relax because
it’s on a timer! So sprint to the switch, pull it and then
immediately jump backwards before the flame reignites. Now
you’re trapped between two flames. Again, find the technique
and this is easy. It’s safe to stand on the corner of a
burner with a single flame in the middle. So you can back
onto the burner tile in the corner, which allows you the run
up you need to jump back out again.
In the same part of the warehouse there is now an open
office, so find the switch which opens another office at the
far end of the docks. Oh, and forget about trying to swim in
the sea – the currents are rather on the strong side! Using
the computer disk in the terminal opens the large doors into
the main warehouse. There is quite a bit to see in here but
before doing that, check out the small office outside and
pull the switch in that bookcase too. That will open a
trapdoor in the main warehouse allowing you access to the
second floor.
Now have a good wander around the warehouse. You will find a
small medipak on the desk. You will be back here a
couple of times so getting to know the layout won’t be a
waste of time. On the far left is a grille up on the wall.
You can either shoot it out using the shotgun trick, or you
can go up the first floor, use the monkey swing to get to
the catwalk, then jump over to the alcove near the burner
and use the pistols to shoot the grate from there. Pick up
the shotgun lying there too. After clambering through
the grille, drop down and push the crate to open the double
doors and also find another computer disk. There is
also some shotgun ammo nearby in the other crawlspace
on the wall.
Head back to the office outside the warehouse and use the
disk in the computer terminal. This opens the heavy security
doors leading out into the jungles surrounding the facility.
This is an extensive area, so you will need a plan to
explore it properly without getting lost. The nearby switch
reopens the door back to the dock area but you can leave
that for now. Keep heading left until you reach the far end
of that part of the jungle. There is a pillar nearby you can
hoist up on leading to a passage to a secret area. Use the
monkey swing to reach secret 5 – the revolver and a small
medipak. Kill the tinnos wasp before he buzzes you off
the ledge and down into the lava then monkey swing back and
head back into the jungle.
You will need to do some careful exploration now, so keep to
the left wall of the jungle and follow it until you find a
ladder leading up to a small crawlspace. It’s tucked away
out of sight, so you’ll have to search carefully. If you
keep to the walls systematically you should eventually
stumble across it. Climb the ladder, the hang and hoist up
into the gap. On the other side you will have to shimmy a
bit to avoid the fire below. You are now in another part of
the jungle!
Head forward to the two statues and have fun with the
raptors that come to play. Take note of that area they came
from as you will be back later once you collect the blue
Temple Stone back in the main warehouse. Continue on and
take a couple of right turns to the far end of this part of
the jungle. On your way keep an eye out on your right for a
crawlspace you can hoist up to where you will find secret
six – Uzies and lots of Uzi ammo.
When you reach the very far end of the jungle, use the block
to jump to the pillar and them jump into the cave in the
rock wall. When you jump down, use action so as not to bang
your head on the rocky overhand and land in the lava.
In the pool you’ll find an underwater switch tucked away
behind some vegetation which opens the underwater door. This
next area is quite tricky. It’s not difficult, but you will
have to think about what you’re doing. Again, this is about
technique, NOT mindless trial and error and hoping for the
best. Your first task is to run, jump and grab the
crawlspace near the water surface. This requires a run and
jump with a slight curve in mid air. Inside you’ll find a
lever which opens a door on a higher back outside above the
pool. Now it’s time to face the fire puzzle. The trick is to
find the spot where you can do a standing jump to a corner
of the safe tile and immediately jump up and hoist up to the
floor above. Once you find that spot, this is a relatively
easy task. When you’re up, monkey swing across the room to
the other side and head through the door.
Slide backwards down the slope and shimmy to the other side.
The wall behind you is higher here, so hoist up, jump
backwards and twist in mid air and grab the other side.
Shimmy right and hoist up onto the safe ledge. Now jump to
the ivy clad wall above the chasm and traverse right until
you can back flip and twist to grab the wall behind you
again. Now you can make your way round the doorway and to
safety.
There are two moveable blocks in here. Move the one on the
right first by pushing it once. Now push the left block
once. Now pull the right block out twice. Behind that you
will find another block. Pushing it forwards once and then
pulling it back will open the door for you.
In the next passage you will find the
Gold Key and
the door ahead will open for you. Before sliding down the
grassy slope, turn to the right and jump into the shadowed
area and crawl through the narrow cave into a small hidden
temple.
Use your jumping skills to make your way up to
secret
seven – a large medipak.
With your prize Gold Key clutched tightly in your sweaty
fist, head back to the warehouse, fighting off a couple of
tinnos wasps on the way, where you will find it opens the
door to the Temple Stone room. However, the darned thing is
protected by fire so you can’t have it yet, so there. Hoist
up into the room above, climb over the blocks and push the
crate forward to reveal a switch which opens a door on the
second level of the warehouse. Have back there and make your
way up through the trapdoor and then jump through the newly
opened doorway.
This next sequence is timed. Again, this is about good
technique rather than hitting and hoping. First of all, save
at the switch because you’re not going to make this on your
first effort. When you use the switch, immediately roll and
angle your run so you safely jump the gap, then curve and
sprint through the door. When you make it, save again.
Repeat the process, but take a couple of leisurely attempts
at it first to discover the best way to tackle the runs and
jumps. When you’re happy, reload your save and sprint and
curve and jump and sprint your way into the next office.
The switch in here opens another door on the second floor
back in the other part of the warehouse from whence you
came. When you’ve made your way through there, you’ll notice
a flame ahead of you which goes out as you approach the end
of the walkway. Don’t be fooled, this one is on a timer as
well. Jump to the extreme left of the ledge so you don’t
waste any time shimmying on that side, then round you go and
hoist up and roll into the passage before the flames come on
again. Use the switch and enjoy the cutscene of the fire
guarding the Temple Stone being extinguished. But how to get
down there? Not so easy. You need to take a running jump
between the two flames and down to the floor of the
warehouse. Grab your Temple Stone and head off back to the
jungle! If you remember where you were attacked by the two
raptors earlier, you’ll know where to go.
This next shimmy is dead easy. Start on the far right and
shimmy 4 times and stop. Do not shimmy while a flame is on
or you will catch fire. When you are safely hanging and the
flame isn’t setting you on fire, SAVE! Wait until the first
two flames are off then shimmy 4 times and WAIT. When you’re
safely hanging there, SAVE AGAIN. The last flame is on a
very long timer, so judge it and do the last two flames in
one go. Do NOT try to shimmy 4 times again and wait as the
last two flames have to be done in one go. Easy huh!
Whack in the Temple Stone and woooooo . . . the door to the
mysterious and unexplored Temple back in the first part of
the jungle opens! Use the pool to clear the fires and head
back to the jungle, climb the pillars and jump into the
Temple.
Have a wander around and make a note of things. But for now
head on over to the other end of the Temple area where
you’ll find a door leading back down to the jungle. It’s
closed and don’t waste any time trying to open it just yet.
Instead, climb the block nearby and slide forwards and jump
and grab the pillar ahead. Don’t hoist up because the flames
are deadly. Shimmy round, the back flip and twist and grab
the edge of the stone gazebo. Pick up the shotgun ammo
and then jump to the other side and head left. Avoiding the
flame, reach in a pull the lever then head to ground and
wander in through the door that just opened.
You will have to jump to the slope on the right and shimmy
over above the safe tile then drop and jump up into the
passage. Those two boulders look dangerous, and they are,
but they also activate triggers, so you do need to figure
out a way to activate them while staying alive. Best way is
to jump on the trigger blocks at an angle then immediately
back jump off, out of the boulders’ paths. That opens a door
but you also need to find the pushable stone and pull it
once to open the other door outside leading into another
part of the Temple.
Three nasty tinnos wasps show up so better shoot them with
something powerful, like the shotgun or the revolver, so you
don’t get pushed off the ledge. The ivy is again climbable,
but you’ll have to do a couple of back flips with twists to
get to the doorway. Jump to the long slope and shimmy to the
far end, hoist up and jump. As you jump forward, do a slight
curve to land on the safe tile and pick up the small
medipak.
When you safely reach inside the fire hole and activate the
switch, another door opens back in the Temple area. When you
make it back outside, head over to the newly opened door
where inside you will find The Torch and also some shotgun ammo in a corner.
Light the torch by the statue below (you will have to find
the right spot to do the lighting) and then go and light the
remaining statues. The cutscene shows you a door opening
back in the jungle area at the start of the long monkey
swing you may have noticed earlier. You may also catch a
glimpse of the T Rex. The jungle is shaking under heavy
footfalls and you’re going to have to head down and confront
the beast.
Head back to the newly opened door, which isn’t far past the
two dragon statues, and jump and grab and hoist up into the
cave. There are some bats around, and the monkey swing can
be dark to see if you’re playing in broad daylight with the
curtains open. If you’re having problems with the monkey
swing, save often. Once you swing through to the final
jungle area you can’t fall off the monkey swing anymore so
relax a bit. The door ahead is open so hang and drop and
grab the ledge (when the bats are not biting at you or
you’ll miss the ledge) and hoist up. Pull the dead guy and
get the The Silver Key.
When you head down into the cave, take a short rest and save
your game. Pick up the shotgun ammo and pick your
weapon of choice. You have a bit of a fight on your hands
here and the door is timed. Enjoy!
Did you have fun? Excellent! You’re back in the first cave
area where you found your first computer disk. But now that
you have the Silver Key, head on back to the warehouse. Make
your way to the second floor up through the trapdoor, monkey
swing to the catwalk, then
When you reach the other side where you shot out the grille,
take a running jump to the burning pillar and hoist up on a
corner. Then jump straight up and catch the monkey swing
above you and shimmy over to the silver key hole. Use the
key and hoist up into the top floor of the warehouse. The
trapdoor closes ominously behind you.
Shoot the compies and carry on. When you find the grille,
jump up and shoot it and crawl through. In this next area
there are two fires on burners. One of them deactivates when
you step on it, so be brave and get to the switch which
opens one of the doors you just passed. A rather pissed off
Raptor shows up, so have fun with him, and then head through
the door. Crawl into the next area and shoot the compie and
the bat. There are raptors prowling nearby.
Use the crowbar on the black iron gate and get ready for
some jumping. First task is to shoot out the grille. Once
you’ve done that you have to jump from the top slope and
grab the monkey swing. This can be quite tricky. When you
make it to the crawlspace, hoist up and make your way to the
next room. Shoot the dinos, pick up the Revolver Ammo
from the desk and find the wall switch which puts out the
fire back beside the black iron door. Now head through the
crawlspace to the burners room.
This is a pushable crates puzzle. If you take your time,
you’ll soon figure it out. A couple of the fires go out as
you jump over them allowing you space to push crates. The
trapdoor on the right is where you need to push the
rightmost crate onto in order to put out the fire covering
the Computer Disk on the crate on the other side of the
room.

Push the RHS Block in once
Push the LHS Block in once
Run around the LHS Block and Push it towards the wall once.
Run and Jump over all the flames to the end of the room
Turn, and push the Block here in once
Run and Jump back to the safe tile beside the original LHS
Block
Pull the LHS Block once away from the wall again
Run around the LHS Block back towards the entrance
Pull the original RHS Block once back to its original square
Run around the LHS Block again and see that the tile you
just pulled the RHS Block from is not lit
Go there and Push the RHS Block onto the tile marked with a
metal door pattern.
This turns off the flames on the block at the end.
Now, go around the LHS block again and repush the LHS Block
towards the wall
Head back over the floor in the safe places to retrieve the
3rd Computer Disk then nip back across the floor and
leave via the crawl space.
Go through the east door and make you way through the
passage. When you get to the next area head back to the
black iron door and this time crawl up into the space and
drop down the other side where the fire is now out. There is
another higher crawlspace, so up you go and make your way
along the passage until you drop down into a room where you
will find The Revolver and The Gate Key.
Back up in the passage take the other route and drop down
and find the long drop below the trapdoor which takes you
back down to the main warehouse. There is a ladder there to
save your health if you need to. Use the crow bar and then
the Gate Key to open the black iron door in the warehouse,
head inside and use the Computer Disk.
After the final cutscene, have your fun, head through the
final door and end the level.
